Howdy from Austin, Texas.  A little background info - In my early years, which were rooted in contemporary Gospel, I was fortunate in having opportunities to record a duet with Jennifer Warnes, write songs for Glen Campbell and Fernando Ortega and have Roger Nichols (Steely Dan) mix one of my projects.  I have participated on recordings distributed by EMI, Disney, BMG and Warner Music Group although most of my solo recordings have been released on Urgent Records, an independent label I founded in 1984, and more recently on Wider Sky Music, both now distributed by Sony’s The Orchard.
I pressed pause on touring and recording in the late 90’s to launch a local community radio station (KDRP-LP, aka K-Drip) which serves the local community of Dripping Springs,TX -  my home town right outside of Austin.  Under better leadership than mine it has expanded into a network that's now called Sun Radio and is one of Austin's favorite radio stations. They play an eclectic mix of music that includes Classic Rock, Alt Country, Americana and Texana flavored songs.  The music of Sun Radio rawakened my songwriting passion.  It reminded me that authenticity and real life subject matter really can be expressed in song.

In 2015 I released a project called “Recently Played”.  It received a very positive response from folks who knew my music.  And, I connected with a number of new folks who I'd now consider fans.  Here's an article that recently came out catching local folks up on my career.  "Go On" is my newest collection of songs.  It's is an album of 9 songs engaging life, love, questioning and even a bit of reflection. Our first single to country stations is "Like A Banjo" and we've release the full project to Americana stations.  Thanks so much for reading and listening - Phillip.
